Should pot be legal?

I'm not planning on smoking it, but I don't think it should be illegal. I would support it becoming legal in my state.~Mom of 5, married to an ID doc

Our state has legal medicinal and recreational weed. The taxes have been ASTOUNDING for local schools and law enforcement budgets.
The dad of a good friend here is a legal producer and his descriptions of their set up and the regulations that oversee their entire operation are really interesting. The quality control is very well regulated, too.
I don't know many people who use weed recreationally, but those who use it now used it before it was legal, too. Doesn't seem to be much change there.

diggitydot Do you mean that schools and law enforcement are getting more money?

Yup. The most of the taxes charged to the entire industry (they tax it 25% at every level -- grow, production, retail) goes to schools and law enforcement.
And the business is raking in millions already. It's a HUGE growth industry here that is resulting in job booms in construction around grow sites, jobs in the farms and production facilities, and jobs in the legal shops where people are needed who know the difference between sativa and indica strains and how people will react to them.Last edited by diggitydot; 02-15-2015, 02:35 PM.

Our state will (most likely)be legalizing it. I have mixed feelings on it. Our state is going bankrupt with the governors stupid health care plan and non business friendly agenda and huge amounts of welfare. Some representatives just got back from Colorado, from a "fact finding trip"
It'll be interesting to see how it goes. I've never smoked it but know plenty of people who do.~shacked up with an ob/gyn~
