The Scottish National Party claim the BBC is biased against them. It's very bitter and the nationalists are now trying to alter the BBC Constitution to give some control to the Scottish government. It's very sad and difficult.

Journalism is meant to be the Fourth Estate. When the population mistrusts the reporting, it's very alarming.

The BBC is usually mildly biased in favor of the party currently in government, as they're the ones who make funding decisions. I imagine devolving some funding decisions to the local governments would help ensure the SNP enjoys a portion of that positive bias.
