    A switch on a kids back that you could flip (tonight is a cuddle night in my bed, tomorrow you need to sleep in your bed).
    an app that you can check to see if you remembered to turn off the coffee pot, curling iron, lock the doors, shut the garage door...

      I like the whole transport thing too. I hate driving. I moved to a small town and still bitch about having to drive all.the.way.across. town which probably takes 10 minutes.

        There are apps for that! You can get a WiFi-enabled coffeemaker, a WeMo plugin for your curling iron, smart door locks, and a smart garage door. So far I only have a couple WeMo plugins, but I get paranoid about all that same stuff so it's my goal to eventually get everything connected through my phone.
