Kerry has class. Did anyone else see his concession speech?

Yeah. I almost cried. I am way more invested in this than is healthy......At least DH and I will be richer under Bush Trying to look at the bright side.

Angie, we are one heart on this one...We will also benefit from the Bush Tax Cuts, so I suppose we should be rejoicing. Show me the money, right? :disappointed:

This just clears the path for Hillary.....

        Actually, I did cry!
I thought his speech was very good. I hadn't thought about the tax cut--as dh finishes up at the end of this year I suppose we will benefit as well.

Kerry is a very, very good speaker - always has been. I don't know if that says anything about his "classiness", though. But, yes, excellent speaker.

I'll refrain from debating Bush's 'classiness' with you....we'll brush over those issues. :>

I'll concede that Bush isn't as polished a speaker as Kerry and he certainly doesn't look as aristocratic and elegant in his bearing. Totally agree with that. If that is what you mean by "class" then I understand (although it is a different meaning of "class" than I use).

NO!!! I missed it. I've been running errands all day and had to hop out of the car just as he started.

BUT....I did hear the beginning of Bush's speech and I liked the tone of it. I liked that he stated that he would work for all Americans and that he complimented Kerry's graciousness. Gracious of Bush as well. He did thank the volunteers -- the phone workers as well. That part I didn't like.

I, too, concede that Kerry is an eloquent and succinct speaker, although I find his voice intonation a little painful at times.

And I'm sorry....I nearly lost it when he said he wanted to (paraphrased) "take all of America up in his arms in an embrace" ::
