I can't believe I'm even asking....and this may not even be a real debatable issue....but....
Scott Peterson....guilty or not guilty?
Sorry, it's on TV right now.....
I feel pretty certain he did it, but I'm not sure I could convict. All the evidence seems pretty circumstantial (at least from an outsider's point of view)
My gut feeling? Not being on the jury or there or having listened to everything about it?
GUILTY. Seriously, who dies their hair, tells a mistress they are in Paris while searching for their missing wife, and gets ready to "vacation" in Mexico. He did it.
I tend to think he is guilty, too, though I think there's a good chance he will walk. If he's not guilty, he has terrible luck...telling his mistress his wife is dead before she is missing and then lo and behold, she turns up dead!

Yeah....can you believe that one? The thing about watching the Eifel Tower while he was really searching for her was way disturbing too. I haven't been paying attention but I wonder how they'll explain that. What a shitweasel.
Yep, one was just dismissed....I hate to admit, but I hope he's convicted too. DH and I were listening to court coverage one night, and apparently when they were searching for her, SP asked the police, "So...are you guys going to use those cadaver dogs?"
This is a fascinating discussion from the perspective of someone who deals with jurors and jury selection regularly. I went to law school with a guy who took a job specializing in juror selection. Oh yeah, for the record, please do not let John Grisham's fantastical account of top secret investigations of potential jurors sway your perception of how jurors are truly selected. Still there is a science to voir dire and juror selection.
For whatever it is worth, I'd sleep well at night if my vote was "guilty".
BTW, look at me, I'm posting in the debate section once again!
