  • Are you a hothead?

In light of our most recent 'discussion' I thought I'd ask...are you a hothead when it comes to your opinions?

I of course am totally even-keel. I never get excited about my own personal views. :>

    NOT!

OK...I'm a 'tad' on the prickly side. :>

It depends. It depends on the issue and on how things are going in my life. Am I feeling energized about my own goals, or am I feeling constricted and frustrated? It also depends on whether my opinion is a majority opinion or a minority opinion--it's a lot easier for me to be magnanamous and calm toward an opposing viewpoint if I feel that just a few people feel that way, but really most people want to do things my way.

There's a few things I can be a little hotheaded about, but mostly I'm pretty "live and let live" about things. At least I think I am--maybe others perceive me differently??

We're getting a lot of "tad bit prickly" types here! Or is it selection bias?
For me, it depends on the subject.

Now that I think about it, there's plenty of times that a minority opinion gets me riled up if I really think it's a harmful way of doing things, so I take this part back.

In light of the political times its hard to not feel a little prickly, whichever side you are on. I had to really think about this, because I do get riled up about the political stuff I really believe in. But regular day to day stuff I couldn't give a crap how the rest of the world wants to do things... So yes, I guess it does depend on the situation.

As an oldtimer (in marriage and age)

As spouses of workaholics, in other words "single" parents with a paycheck. We have to be opinionated and leader types, otherwise nothing would get done now would it ?

It depends on the issue, but would you believe I lean towards the prickly side?

I'm usually very accepting of other's opinions. But if you hit on an emotional or personal issue (for me)....watch out!!!

I'm terribly opinionated, but tend to keep to myself in a face to face situation b/c I'm afraid I'll lose my temper and get shaky (then can't speak and look like a fool).

As with Angie - that falls to the wayside if you're wading into dangerous waters w/me.
