Bush Authorized Secrets' Release, Libby Testified
Prosecutor Says Disclosures on Iraq Were Aimed at War Critic

President Bush authorized White House official I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby to disclose highly sensitive intelligence information to the news media in an attempt to discredit a CIA adviser whose views undermined the rationale for the invasion of Iraq, according to a federal prosecutor's account of Libby's testimony to a grand jury.

It won't matter, Jenn. Bush appears to be above criticism ... As usual, the spin machine will take care of it and blame the liberal media and the democrats for it...and THAT will stick.

Why can't the democrats actually become a party...or develop a backbone...If they weren't such wankers, we might be in a different place now.

My prediction? The republicans will maintain their majority again in 2006 despite all of these little scandals of late, and more than likely they will win the white house bid in 2008....unless the dems grow up and get it together.

Yeah, and in 15 years when all these "conservatives'" babies grow up it'll be very interesting....

I feel pretty much like Kris. There seems to be little to no political fallout whenever another "scandal" makes the press. I want to get jazzed up that it will spark some change, but it hasn't yet.
I also feel very pessimistic about '08.
