I got all excited when I initially heard about it, but was so disappointed when I saw the clip...I was hoping for something really juicy! I have no problem with the president using the word "sh*t".

I don't care that he said "shit" either, really, but I think it is unfortunate that he would conduct himself that way at an "official" function, like others have said. Doesn't seem too professional to me.

Okay - tonight's clip (yes - I saw it on the Daily Show, but it's a real clip), shows Bush rubbing Chancellor Angela Merkel's shoulders as he walks by, and her reaction (which was to shrug him off "using a method she learned in date-rape prevention class"--thx Jon Stewart).

        :thud:

Seriously - this guy shouldn't be left alone w/serious people of international importance. He's so socially / professionally inept!

Jon Stewart's joke was funny. "If that were Clinton, somehow he would have gotten Merkel's bra off."

But seriously - Clinton wouldn't have done that. Yes - he may have done it to an intern (still skeevy ... different ramifications), but not a head of state.

OMG...I haven't laughed so hard in ...weeks! That is so hysterical. I love Jon Stewart!!! Thanks for posting that.

I tuned in to Jonny boy last night and saw that clip, too! I felt embarassed for him when I saw the look on her face, though I'm not sure he is clued in enough to know that he looked like an a**.

I felt embarrassed for our nation. I just feel like W would just as soon refer to Merkel as "the little lady" then as Chancellor. Does he think this is the same as a meeting of the Texas Rangers staff?
