I try to stay away from politics on social media. After the last debate, I jokingly posted that I was voting for my dog. My mom’s best friend, whom I’ve known since childhood, immediately jumped in and told me she felt sorry for my kids. It got a little ugly. I doubled down and said I wouldn’t vote for either candidate. She unfriended me and sent my mom a nasty-gram. It was a joke. I’m not writing in my dog. Can the election be over yet?
