  • I am a bad person

I'm blowing off the second half of a conference that I was supposed sit in until 4:00 PM.

I got the stuff that's applicable to methadone. (It's all about emergency preparedness in health care settings) I don't need to hear a guy from the National Weather Service drone on for an hour. I have his slides.

I certainly would much rather be here- in my house, rather than freezing in a conference room.

So, I won't submit for the whole day's pay.

ETA- further justification? I'm paying my babysitter only five buck less than I make an hour- so I'm netting all of five dollars an hour? No thanks. Of course, the babysitter and the dude are at the zoo and I'm at home but she'll be home with him before I would have been had I stayed.

If you're not submitting for the whole day's pay, then I say you should have no guilt at all. I would probably submit for the whole day's pay, but that's why karma keeps biting me in the ass.

Well, apparently it was my mommy sense that made me come home because I had just finished feeling guilty when the babysitter called and said that nikolai had thrown up all over himself at the zoo.

So, he's now tylenoled and sleeping, she's gone and I'm definitely not feeling guilty anymore.

        me too, Jenn! :>

I hope Nikolai is feeling better soon...and...no guilt over the 1/2 conference! I had to submit to a few *mandatory* seminars in grad school...They were often soooooo boring. On more than one occasion, I just read the person's abstract and wrote that up for my "proof of attendance".
