Can you do the job from home? That would be pretty cool - esp if it's a NYC salary in PA.

The commute would be about 2 hours each way. A good number of people actually do commute from PA to NYC but most of them do it for a nice 6 figure salary. If they doubled mine as oppose to 10%, I'd definitely consider it. A few people at work mentioned that I should ask about working from home. But I'm not sure if I even want to and don't think they'll make it worth my while anyway.

          Julie

I've been in your shoes too...and it can be terribly difficult to motivate yourself when there is an end in sight!!!!

I have no suggestions that haven't already been mentioned here....I'm glad you finally told your boss though so that you don't have to worry about it anymore!!!!!

My boss just said that he's planning on making the next three weeks absolute hell to pay me back for leaving him. I need a plan.

If he seriously does I would report him to HR.

Yup he was serious. We only get 3 sick days a year and I already used 2, so no luck there. Our HR is horrible and would take his side, as in I have to do whatever it takes to wrap up all my projects before I leave, as they are my responsibility.

Or just leave earlier than you said. Screw 'em.

Stay for good - does he not realize you're moving to another STATE! Of course my NE geography sucks, is it not really that far?
Totally understand! After my DH matched OUT OF STATE--half way across the country--my bosses at my old job asked me if I'd be moving with him.

Yup, I told him on Monday and he's still asking if I changed my mind and it's not too late to leave my husband. I said I will if he can match the offer we got.

I'm seriously getting ready to walk out right now. On top of everything he's arguing with me why Access can't do a certain thing if it theoretically makes sense. :needabreak: :banghead:

(I said this to my boss but jokingly, he wasnt such an asshat as yours sounds).

Seriously though, things should be on your terms now, you are the one leaving, they should be making your life easier now so you can get finished what you need to finish. They need you more than you need them right now.

Hang in there you are nearly done.
