Hey ladies, I am helping DH with his fellowship application. He he has to retake Step 3 should he mention this in his personal statement and put some type of spin on it ?

I agree w/ Pollyanna, I would advise him to leave it out. I would imagine that his personal statement would involve reasons for wanting to do that particular fellowship and the strengths he brings to said fellowship, and trying to spin a test score probably wouldn't fit. If it comes up during the interview he can spin it then.~Jane

ITA with everything said.
When I read the personal statements, the ones that stick in my mind are the ones with some sort of different story. You do not want the "retaking step 3" to be on anyones mind. However, your DH should be ready to address it if asked.
