Holy Moly!
So, as most of you know, I do QA for a VERY large substance abuse program here in San Antonio. One of our programs is a detox unit that is based next to where the new homeless campus is going.
The local public hospital system has agreed to provide a one time grant of 500k provided that the detox unit becomes accredited. Thankfully, we didn't have to go JCAHO but instead went with CARF (which also accredits our methadone clinic).
My job, my sole responsibility is to get this detox unit accredited. (we just had our annual state inspection and completely rocked it, that had been my focus since January 2)
We just got notification that the big survey at detox is going to be April 20-21. YIKES! I'm ready, the unit is ready but jeez, this is HUGE. I'm so glad its week of Fiesta because I'm definitely going to be ready to play, play, play once this is over.
I'm already going into drill down mode- ready to bring home the CARf standards (all 400 plus pages) and start making lists but then I have to remind myself that I used to be a Federal surveyor, we just rocked our state review and the company has been through this before with the methadone clinic.
Peel me off the ceiling! I do have the perfect job for someone as OCD as I am.

It's pretty darn cool that you have the funding for such a worthy cause! You'll have to down one of those famous absolute margaritas SA is known for, when you are done of course not during work time
