I am so jealous. I always peruse the Junior College books that come to my apartment for the ASL classes. I have always wanted to learn and my undergrad didn't offer it.-L.Jane

I'm taking classes at the Katzenbach NJ School for the deaf. The teacher we have teaches at the school during the day. She gave us a website last night that is awesome and free. ASLPro.com - it is an amazing site with instruction videos and self quizzes! Oliver has a hearing loss and wears hearing aids, he was diagnosed at birth. So far they have been told he won't need to sign, and his hearing is considered "normal" with the hearing aids in. At this point (he is 3) you wouldn't know he has a loss if he doesn't have them in, but he doesn't hear high pitch and language would certainly not develop properly without them. Georgia has the exact same hearing loss (she is now 3 1/2 months old) and she gets her hearing aids next Monday. I decided I need to learn now, just in case there is any progressive loss, I'll be ready!Luanne
