I saw a lot of myself in this. It's an interesting article for the workaholics among us, those of us that force ourselves to be workaholics, and those of us that love them.

I am not going to feel embarrassed or guilty for wanting a quality of life. I'm not living to work anymore. And I don't want to work for someone who demands it. We've already got one of those careers - we don't need and probably can't survive a marriage that has two of them.

Amen to that. I'm starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel (paid off my brain mortgage last month) and I haven't worked many weekends since my big trial last year. So far, it's a much more fulfilling lifestyle. I realize I might get bored at some point, but I'd rather deal with that when it comes.

That brings back many bad memories of my first job... And I was just an entry-level peon making crap for pay. To get higher in the company meant even more "commitment". I did it for 2.5 years, and I can't imagine doing it any longer.

60 hours is avg for me, and that doesn't included working from home. I normally work on vacations.

It is rough, but I think personally I would be bored otherwise.
