I am trying to stay positive but the dept chair cancelled the interview today. Sent me an email that said that she would keep me in mind but wants to post the position to see what she gets because she wants someone with more research experience.

It is soooo frustrating! As many of you know, it sucks when your choices are live apart and have a career or live together and give up your career.

Oh man, how frustrating!! Seems like they could still interview you and compare you to what else they might get. On the other hand, if your friend had concerns, maybe this could be a good thing (I know, it still sucks).

That sucks, and I'm really hoping it works out or something better comes up.

The evil part of me wishes that. The other part makes me wonder if I dodged a bullet.
