  • Headshot

Due to new exciting business adventures, I have to get a headshot for media releases.
I can pick the photographer and the pay. Woohoo

I know we have some fashionista and photographers, so what do I wear?
    Hair and makeup tips?

I'd go extremely conservative and professional. A suit or a really subdued, professional blouse. Makeup, but not over the top or flashy.

I had to have a headshot for my last job and yes, I wore a suit. I had them taken at like JCPenney or something (don't even remember) and they were perfect for a business professional headshot.

What do the other head shots from similar companies look like? I would probably go with a blouse/blazer combo with your hair down and simple jewelry. Make-up should be natural - like what you would wear everyday. You're beautiful and have fairly traditional fashion sense, so you'll be fine You can also google photographers in your area that specialize in head shots. They should have samples on their web page or blog

I agree with being fairly traditional, but I wouldn't go too dull. Stay away from pastels, browns and tans that make the whole photo look boring and muddy. Wear at least a pop of a bold color, and a piece of clothing with nice structure and lines - no floppy blouses or blazers that don't fit you impeccably.

I always go for a dark suit with a scarf that has some color(s).
Finally - we are finished with training! Hello real world!!

Here's mine! Good for the paper because there is contrast if it needs to be b/w good for regular print because there is some difference in the colors

Just what our PR person said! I wish my head wasn't so tilty but she said it makes me look friendlier lol

                  That's an adorable gorgeous picture!

However, it's perfect for a realtor, but probably a little too casual for Brandi's situation. I guess it depends on the company.

I'm using it for publicity for the restaurant association in the paper so it probably is too casual but thought I'd share!

No, I think it is perfect for anything you would use it for as a realtor. It's a really nice shot.

It's just the particular position Brandi is in (sorry, I don't know if this board is public, so I wont be specific) tends to be extremely formal. Especially in that particular industry. Sadly, friendly and approachable might be the wrong vibe to send. I think you are right about the colors, though!

I think you should copy the pose of the guy with the cigarette in his mouth. Ha ha ha!

Actually, I like that photographer. They are artistic and still professional. Probably as good as its going to get
