    1)What do you do?-
I am a stay at home Dad to two little boys, and a stay at home husband to one Pediatrician.

2)If you work outside the home, do you go to work to pay the bills or because you feel it is your calling?-
This is not my calling- I am ready to get out of the house and back into the workforce. Someone has to make the labor statistics look better....Ok, really, we didn't have children to have someone else teach them to say 'mama' or 'dada', or teach them to walk....no offense. For the amount that I can make today working, it wouldn't even cover daycare for two....a no brainer for me to be SAHD.

3)What other jobs have you worked? -
    in no particluar order....
    BMW salesperson
    Credit card collector
Operation manager of a 1.6million bushel grain elevator
    Truck driver-delivering grain/feed/fertilizer
Dairy Queen attendant (loves my ice cream!)
    Farm hand
    Lawn mower/hay hauler

4)Where do you see yourself professionally in ten years?-
Driving in my convertible Jag with the top down and the wind blowing through my hair......Oh, wait...sorry, I was daydreaming, it is a gorgeous day here today.
Professionally, I would love to have my own business. Something that allows me to set the parameters. I am still in the mock up stages....I still have 10 years to get there, right?!

    5)What is your fantasy job?-
Any job that pays me a livable wage, I enjoy and will allow me time to spend with my kids- be they at school plays/games or in college states away.

1- In no particular order I am a wife, mother, stepmother and registered nurse.

2- I work in the hospital, because I like to have a roof overy my head and I like to eat!! Also, three of the four kids are in college, the fourth to start college in September.

3- Kris I also worked at an IHOP when I was in college. I worked for an investment company (clerical), had children, went back to school and became a nurse.

4- In 10 years I'll probably still be working in the ER.

5- My dream job is to be a Chef!!!!

        1)What do you do?

Currently, I am a SAHM for my two girls ages 2.5 and 6 months. I am often moonlighting as a secretary, maid, part-time chef (a really bad one), and chauffuer.

        2) If you work outside the home, do you go to work to pay the bills or because you feel it is your calling? Staying at home with my children was a choice I made because I couldn't stand to be away from them and I didn't want other people raising them. I do miss the stimulation of adult conversation and feeling like I accomplished something like I did while in a professional position.

3)What other jobs have you worked? Ice cream server, grocery bagger, secretary, file clerk, office assistant, life guard, research assistant, banquet server, gymnastics instructor, program director for a children's gym, mentor to college student-athletes, program director to a satellite writing center for student-athletes, tutorial coordinator for academic services, program assistant for community college science program, research assistant in clinical trials in psychiatry, interviewer for research on how a family environment affects academic readiness in preschoolers.

4)Where do you see yourself professionally in ten years? To be determined. Considering going back to school for doctorate in psychology or a second masters in possibly school psychology. I hope to be back in the working world, yet be available for my children.

        5)What is your fantasy job?
        Professional student

I'm a freelance writer and an invitation/greeting card designer. I'm working on my first novel and am looking to open a stationary shop in the next couple of years.

              2) If you work outside the home, do you go to work to pay the bills or because you feel it is your calling?

This is one of the first times in my life I haven't needed a "day job" to pay the bills and could actually do what I love.

3)What other jobs have you worked?

Comedy writer (for TV in LA)

Receptionist for an oil and gas company

4)Where do you see yourself professionally in ten years?

I'd like to have a book on the shelf, keep writing for magazines, and be running my little stationary shop (and be profitable enough to turn away customers who are nasty and demanding.)

              5)What is your fantasy job?

Travel writer or a model builder for one of the movie special effects houses.

                  1)What do you do?

Human Resources Manager - hiring, firing, training, etc...

                  2) If you work outside the home, do you go to work to pay the bills or because you feel it is your calling?

A little of both. I enjoy my job & I'm good at what I do. I'd like to go higher in my profession quicker, but I've made a committment to stay in Hawaii until his residency, so I'm kind of at a career stopping point right now. Not a bad thing, though, the money is decent & I enjoy my work.

3)What other jobs have you worked?

-Video store clerk & Asst Manager
                  -Waitress
                  -Cleaned houses on the weekends
-Typist and a travel copy (typed travel brochures & itineraries)
                  -Administrative Assistant
                  -Resident Advisor
-Food Service Supervisor, Manager, & General Manager

4)Where do you see yourself professionally in ten years?

I want to get my law degree and practice employment law...want to sue (or defend) big companies like the one I work for now.

                  5)What is your fantasy job?

Hmmm.... I've got a passion for law, so definitely practicing law, but with a schedule allows me to continue doing all the other things I love - canoe paddling, spending time w/my family...oh, and with enough money to be comfortable (not rich....but comfortable.)

                    1) What do you do?
I manage a private grant that deals with curriculum change, admissions, and community dentistry at my institution (dental school).

                    2) If you work outside the home, do you go to work to pay the bills or because you feel it is your calling?
As others have said, "a little of both."

3)What other jobs have you worked?

                    - grocery store clerk
                    - restaurant host
                    - day camp counselor
                    - medical equipment sterilizer
                    - mattress and furniture salesperson
                    - educational program assistant
                    - middle school teacher
                    - continuing medical education program director

4)Where do you see yourself professionally in ten years?
That's a difficult question as life can really unfold in many unexpected ways. I want to be in a position that will allow me to be in a "helping profession." I currently have a masters degree and in the next ten years I would like to have made a firm decision about whether or not I will pursue more formal education. In ten years, I would like a position that offers me great flexibility as I think we will most likely have at least one child by that time.

                    5)What is your fantasy job?
I'd like to own a successful restaurant. Please note that I didn't not say "manage" or be a "chef"! I definitely would not want to be mired in the hectic schedule and tough business decisions of the business. After all this is a dream job, right? I'd like to enjoy the great food, the income (remember this is going to be a successful restaurant), and the fun of "playing host" at "my place".

                      2) If you work outside the home, do you go to work to pay the bills or because you feel it is your calling?
To pay for my shopping addiction. And rent.

3)What other jobs have you worked?
Financial analyst, economic consulting, billing manager, help desk tech.

4)Where do you see yourself professionally in ten years?
I have absolutely no idea. Currently the toss up would be between SAHM, Marketing MBA or Professor of Russian Lit.

                      5)What is your fantasy job?
Personal shopper. I just love the process of hunting for the perfect something.

                        1)What do you do?
I am a SAHM, and I teach cardmaking classes once a month. I like to say my "true" job description is- career planner, executive secretary, chauffeur, activity planner, preschool teacher, chef, financial planner, travel agent, and personal shopper.

                        2) If you work outside the home, do you go to work to pay the bills or because you feel it is your calling?
I feel it is my calling to be a wife and mother. I couldn't imagine leaving my children in someone else's care, knowing that I can be at home with them although financially tight. As far as teaching classes once a month, it's more of an outlet and way for me to be around other adults, and to have something beyond the children and dh's career.

3)What other jobs have you worked?
Gymnastics instructor- tots to intermediate level
Special Olympics Gymnastics Instructor- the most rewarding job
                        Retail clerk at Eddie Bauer
                        Check-out clerk at Sam's Club
                        Babysitting galore
                        Medical office assistant
Research assistant for a prominent molecular biologist at UCHSC- liked my job for the most part, there are days I wish I could go back as this doc did some interesting research on HIV, Holoenzymes and proteins. (Oh man the geek is coming out in me)

4)Where do you see yourself professionally in ten years?
I have no idea. I think in 10 years I will be done having children, and Emma will be almost 13, and Brigham almost 12. We definitely want 4, so who knows. I would like to still be teaching rubber stamping classes if I am still enjoying it. I think sometimes I would like to go back to school and get a graduate degree, but then again I am content with where I am at. If I do go back, I would probably do medicine- Physician Assistant, Nurse Midwife, or MD (peds or OB).

                        5)What is your fantasy job?
                        Hmmm... don't have one.

                        Crystal
                        Gas, and 4 kids

                          2) If you work outside the home, do you go to work to pay the bills or because you feel it is your calling?

I would really like a PHD but i am not sure I have it in me to make the effort. Where I work is going to offer a 4 semester PHD for nurses who have a masters and I might do that.

                          5)What is your fantasy job?

I work at a health club as the wellness director. I handle group exercise classes, personal training, nutrition, workshops and seminars etc. I also teach yoga once a week. I love what I do but I don't love the plethora of problems that hinder me from doing my job thanks to upper management.

                                Oh boy, where to begin?
                                waited tables
                                retail sales- Limited, Macy's, TSE

neural systems, memory and aging lab

4)Where do you see yourself professionally in ten years?
I am still trying to figure that out. Before match, my intention was to apply to Clinical Psychology PhD programs and end up practicing sport psychology combining elements of yoga and nutrition. Unfortunately the match put us in a place where they don't have that program. Needless to say, I have been throwing around the idea of law school (environmental law only), starting my own business, patenting and becoming independantly wealthy on my many, many wacky inventions. I have some great ones!!! Here's one - fold up sandals or slippers thin enough to fit in your "evening purse" for those times when your strappy stilletos are KILLING your feet and you can't go one step further. Take em outta your bag, open em up and slip em on! Once you get home you can toss em!
I hope in ten years, I can be either a SAHM or if I have to work, have a successful business making more money than DH!
