    Job Share!

    I approached my boss today about jobsharing with another girl who is currently on maternity leave too. Neither of us want to leave the field completely but we want to maximize our time with the munchkins. My boss was VERY receptive and we are meeting on Sunday afternoon to work out the details. I will work 3 days one week and 2 days the next.

    The paycut is going to hurt severely, but otherwise, this solution feels so right! We are going to try it for 6 months as a trial basis. I'm so excited that I'm babbling.

        Congrats! I'm guessing that you and she do very similar legal work or will there be a learning curve at first? It's great that your employer is flexible.

          COOL!!!!! I know that you have been having some extreme issues with this situation lately - to put it lightly . This sounds like a great solution to your problem. Yup, the pay cut will hurt, but I think your sanity is more important than a few extra bucks!!!

              That is such great news Kelly--I really think job sharing is a great solution! It seems like job sharing would be so much more conducisve to the schedule of a busy mom since when you're not there there is another person there performing your job tasks.
