  • Sales Jobs?

Do we have any spouses out there that are in sales? I think some of you know that I am a Marketing Manager at a mall and most of my job is advertising and event planning. However, sales of the internal mall advertising, or sponsorship, has become a big part of my job. I'm not a sales person, I don't like cold calls, I don't like asking people for money, etc. and this part of my job wasn't stressed to me when I interviewed or started. I'm just wondering if there is anyone out there that has any advice or tricks to get over this "fear".

    Thanks!
Wife to NSG out of training, mom to 2, 10 & 8, and a beagle with wings.

No advice but you're not alone -- I'd have a hard time with that, especially cold calls. But as I think of it, I've made a lot of cold calls to do backgorund research for projects I've done. I guess for me it's easier for me to ask for information than money.
I've had some luck searching the business books on Amazon.com. Maybe they have a sales book category???
    Good luck!
