  • I'm about to have my 15 minutes

OMG- I was interviewed a few weeks ago about one of the group homes I have- the one that serves people with Prader-Willi syndrome. (if you guys don't know about P-W- ask your spouses and then tell them I have six people with P-W under one roof!)

So, I was interviewed by the spouse of one of my husband's co-workers. and apparently there was an advertisement for it with my voice on the radio, advertising the TV show! (Fox news @ 9 if anyone is in San Antonio!)

UGH- I do not want to see this!

Jon has told me quite a bit about the Prader-Willi syndrome - not fun! I REALLY hope the news program isn't some way to turn you into a bad guy or sensationalize something - in other words I hope they don't edit and twist your words to make you look bad or anything! Good luck!

          Jennifer-

I don't think they'l do anything like that- if anything, it sounds like they're emphasizing the behaviors- which can be a good thing. Tisha is a good person and the fact that our husbands are both peds residents together was a big plus. That and they're Army and also owe a boatload of time (he went to West Point and then did HPSP- they actually owe more time than we do!) so, chances are we'll be crossing paths a lot in the future.

But that said- you never know how it was edited. I guess I'll find out tonight.

Well, it was much better than I thought I would be. I had to have a glass of wine to get through it- Talk about nerves!!! But the guys did very well- they were very positive about the supports we provide and all- even though they showed me unlocking the pantry. But all-in-all, it was relatively painless.

                Whew...

Great! Now, how can you put this on your resume (all that painful anxiety should have some sort of benefit, right)?
