All the talk on the boards about turning our dreams into reality got me thinking about what I can do right now to start leading the life that I want. One thing that I have always been enamored with is Spanish language and culture. I contacted the local University and colleges for Fall semester course offerings. Let's just say that both the prices and time commitments were more than I could afford so I became a little discouraged.

But then I saw an advertisement for Spanish preschool classes for children and their parents. Long story short, Cade and I will be taking conversational preschool Spanish on Thursday mornings this fall. I don't know if I'm more excited for me or him! I guess that Sesame Street Spanish will have to be the starting point for the both of us!

How very cool! That's sounds like a much less intimidating way of learning a foreign language-- afterall, who's going to be trying to teach a preschooler how to order dinner at a restaurant? French was fun to take, but it was one of those things that I enjoyed the actual knowledge a great deal more than I enjoyed the process of learning. I think to have started at preschool level would've been way better. I've heard of people learninga foreign language by buying kiddie books in that language and starting there. Hey, it works for kids!

Try looking at a community college... not as a student, but more of an elective course... they should have Spanish classes for about $80 or so for a few weeks session!
