  • Suggestions?

DH and I need some more income in order to pay down some debt before the joy of medical school begins. I'm currently a SAHM to our 2 1/2 year old and I work part-time (20 hours a week--8 in office, the rest from home) for my old employer as a technical writer. I can go up to 30+ hours there, but there simply isn't the volume of work for me to do that.

I have an MA in Technical Communication, a BS in Computer Science (minor in English), and 4 years of experience as a technical writer. I'm looking to come up with something on the side to bring in some more income.

Suggestions? It would need to be something that I could do from home for the most part. I've considered trying to come up with some sort of essay-editing service for students or something, but I don't know if that's even within plagarism laws of schools/colleges.

I interviewed for a technical communication teaching position, and felt great about it, but it didn't work out. University of Phoenix requires five years of work experience. I would *love* to teach online at the community-college level.

    Any ideas?

    TIA!

I've heard of but can't remember the names of on-line freelancing sites. I don't know if that would be consistent enough but might be worth looking into.

I am in grad school and we can send our papers to the writing lab for editing and it is all kosher!!! I haven't used it because I barely get things done on time but now I'm looking at some serius research (which I hate) and hope to use it or someone like you. Can I just say that "APA Style" makes me want to throw up!!!!

You could check my school, Seton Hall University, South Orange, NJ, they have a large online program. Last semester I had a professor for a graduate class and he was in Florida!!!!
