sitting pretty while renting

What are your positives about renting?

Mine:

When the pipes burst, it's NOT MY PROBLEM (last night).

When my bathtub clogs, it's NOT MY PROBLEM. And you can expect someone to fix the drain within 24 hours.

If it's ugly, it doesn't matter because you don't have to spend the cash to fix it up! (the rental with the yellow counters)

It's easy. Especially when DH is not good with his hands and we can't really afford professionals at this point.

I don't have to sweep the steps outside, or clear brush, or do the yard work, and would like to for my own place but when you share it with other people who the heck cares! Also the snow is shoveled by someone else!

Of course then I have to put up with the weirdo decorations my neighbor sets outside and inside the aparment front door, but you only wanted positives 8)

When there is a rat/mouse you don't have to deal with trying to catch/kill it (happened to me in CA).

The freedom of being able to move with a months notice!

Not having to maniacally clean the house every single morning before work just in case you might have a showing.
