Moving Boxes...

Hi from the road; we're almost to Iowa City (where we're spnding the night tonight; will get to Cleveland tomorrow night), and I don't have time to catch up right now, but I found a piece of paper with information on it that I wanted to share with the group, in case someone else could use it. Not sure if this is actually the right room, but it does have to do with saving money, at least...

Anyone who's moving away from the Portand area or within the Portland area and is in need of moving boxes will want to check out this website: http://www.movingboxesportland.com/

This is a family who uses their garage to distribute moving materials. The prices are really reasonable, and while they say "used", when we went there, most of what they had was new. If you're moving within the area, it's an even better deal; they'll give you 20% back if you bring back the boxes when you're done using them, and if you want $150 or more of boxes, they'll bring them to you. The house is just east of the Washington Square area.

I have their card on my desk. On my list! Even better for local moves, they buy the boxes back.

So far, this is a fantastic idea. They are delivering the boxes to me on Monday and will come and pick them up when I'm done. And I'm getting paper and tape too.

Cool! Hope it works out well for you; how did you hear about them? In our case, one of the three movers we had give us quotes handed us the flyer when my husband asked for a recommendation on where to buy boxes for the stuff we were packing.
