Anyone heard of these companies ? My sister and one of my friends are trying to get me to join one of them. On some level they sound interesting, but I don't want to be scammed.

I hope I don't come off to harshly.... but I will try to be as honest as possible with the possibility of sounding like a jerk. So I apologize in advance

Quixtar is really amway. Google "Amway" to read some horror stories. I haven't heard about the other one though.

I am familiar with amway/quixtar because I grew up in grand rapids, mi, which is where amway is headquartered.

It is a pyramid. people will want you to sign up under them, and then you will need to sign up people under you...etc...with promises of being "an independent business owner" and lots of income potential. The only ones that make money are the ones on the top of the pyramid, and the people that sell motivational books and tickets to motivational seminars which are like giant pep rallies to pump you up...costing you lots of money to go of course.

My advice is to politely decline their invitation and wish them well.

I remember Amway, run like the wind, the other way.
