It sounds like an awful lot. I would get one or two other quotes. You could always call random phone book people who dont know you.

For something as straighforward as that, I'd call around.

that sounds really high. My favorite ex-boyfriend is a CPA and he makes bank but not even CLOSE to that much for 15 minutes of work.

I agree....it seems really high. Can you find out what his hourly rate is? A financial statement shouldn't take long at all (I would guess an hour at the very most :huh and I would be surprised if his hourly rate was more than $200-300.

That definitely sounds high. As a point of comparison, our CPA has a minimum charge of $300 for a tax return.

I was looking up financial satement forms on line... looks like yours will be pretty straighforward...i would drfinately ask around b4 going w/ the $1000 guy

Does your financial institute /bank offer this service? Give them a call and see, couldn't hurt!
