    Re: Debt Nightmares!

I just have to chime in on the cost of daycare thing...we love our daycare (really love it) but holy s**t is it expensive! We figured out that if we were to have a second child in the next 12-18 months and send 2 kids full-time it would cost over $26,000 per year!! Uh, yeah...not doing that...

      Re: Debt Nightmares!

My parents were super-conservative with their money (paying cash for pretty much everything but bills, which they paid by check). I didn't even really know what credit cards were until high school, and I never saw my parents use them. And then there's me... I have a lot of guilt over our debt, especially when I start comparing myself to my parents. It's going to take a really good financial planner to get us on track for any kind of retirement and college fund for our future kids. It's definitely do-able, but I just can't comprehend being out from under this mountain, and actually being able to save for long-term goals.

DH just went to the financial aid office yesterday to get an increase in his COA due to a huge increase next month in our health insurance bill. We had also forgotten to give them the costs of his moving to school so they tacked that on also - whew! We will make it through this term!!
