    Here's a loan repayment option

    If anyone is in or heading to TX:

    Children's Medicaid Loan Repayment Program

    Texas is seeking applications for an innovative loan repayment program to help increase the number of doctors, dentists and specialists who provide care for children with Medicaid coverage. Providers participating in the program are eligible for up to $140,000 in loan repayments over four years if they meet targets for services provided to children on Medicaid. Applications for the first year of the program will be accepted through June 1. The application is available online.

    Wow! That's nice! I just assumed Texas was overflowing with doctors... I really want to stay in Oklahoma when DH finishes residency, but Texas just keeps upping the ante...

      Our friend, who's an OBGYN in CO is also receiving $50K a year toward her loan repayment. There are a number of states who do that.
