How do you recommend getting car insurance quotes? I was just going to check out a few websites, but I noticed in the fine print it says they check your credit score, and I'm wary of getting hit with lots of credit checks in the coming months. Should I even worry about that? Should I just check with an agent?

Car Insurance Quotes

I have always felt more comfortable working directly with an agent, because I can say "and what happens if I raise this level and drop this one... and what happens if...etc!" I make them really play around with my numbers so that I can get a quote that really works for me. Or, you can do the same thing with the online quotes, but I like establishing a relationship with an agent. In my experience, that is who I go to for renters insurance, new car, etc.
I don't remember the credit checks, but the agent may have to do that as well. Those credit-check-dings aren't very big and they disappear very quickly! (And this coming from a girl who is very proud of her credit score!) Good luck! Oh - and btw - multicar/driver discounts can be really nice!!Wife to PGY4 & Mother of 3.
