    Like Cheri said, he will be able to get it. Dh got a 1 million dollar policy when we had our first baby and he was in grad school at the time.

      If they are federal loans and not private, they should die with him, unless you put your name on them.

        Good info--they are all federal. I believe they are all in his name, but I'm not 100% sure.
        Married to a newly minted Pediatric Rad, momma to a sweet girl and a bunch of (mostly) cute boy monsters.

            Yep, rule #1 a financial advisor told us was to never put our names on each other's loans because they die with them.
            Wife to NSG out of training, mom to 2, 10 & 8, and a beagle with wings.

              The only loan we share is the mortgage. Car loans, and most everything else are an either/or set-up. Even the credit cards are all in my name and get a card for him.
