So I use Quicken, with my hard drive crash last weekend I feel like a fish out of water! I checked it or updated it every day. At the beginning of each month I'd subtract all of my bills, online pay all of my bills and write down the confirmation numbers. And then I'd have a pool of money to spend for the rest of the month.

The drive is at a recovery company and hopefully they can recover it, I don't know what I'll do if they cant!

So do you have something like that you use? I've tried to use mint.com the last few days but I don't see that I can put future transactions in there, right?

Yes, you can put future transactions in mint (up to 3 or 4 months out, I think) - in the transaction view, click on "add transaction"

I tried that yesterday and it didn't work, I'll have to try again!

      Thanks!

I use an Excel spreadsheet to record all the bills. I keep track of each pay website, its due date, how much, the payment confirmation info, login IDs, and passwords. That way, if something ever happens to me, DH has all of the info.

It makes bill paying super easy to keep track of and then I can just email the spreadsheet to DH so he knows where we stand financially, too.

Diggity I so need to do this.

Cheri right now I use checkbook app- I'm thinking of upgrading to the one that syncs to the computer bc when I upgraded my iPhone to the 4s it took the app developer about 4 days to upgrade the app. (its called iReconcile) Those days where I couldn't access my check register were so bad!!! But there is a sync option with the more expensive app-- that would allow me to access my register from "the cloud" which would help.

I use AceBudget 2 for my day to day expenses and tracking where all the money goes.
