So who has finished their returns & how did you do it - program, accountant or by hand? I'm procrastinating due to the fact I have to do two state forms and the partial year nys one is a total pita. Gotta get started soon.

TurboTax here. Looks like we're getting a refund, darnit. Hopefully next year's estimate will be a little more accurate.
And yeah, the year we moved from Ohio (state taxes, city of residence taxes, city of employment taxes) to Arizona (state taxes for two people)? I think that might have been the first year we used TurboTax, but it handled it like a champ.Alison

4 employers and two states. We have an accountant that I've used for years - we're waiting on a W-2 that seems to be MIA, so I made a call. Should get it by Friday, then I'm turning it all over to them:

Turbotax. I've prepared ours but we owe so I'll file later. I do use the paid version. Not entirely necessary for our simple finances, but I like that it holds my hand, imports info from last year, and reminds me that we can claim moving expenses (which is about all we can claim buy hey it's something)!

Another Turbo Tax user here. Even when I had my own business that I filed a Schedule C with, it helped me navigate it without any issues, so I continue to be a loyal Turbo Tax customer.Charlene~Married to an attending Ophtho Mudphud and Mom to 2 daughters

My mom always did mine for me (she used to be an accountant - why not take the free help?). Df always used an accountant, but I think the plan is to try to do them on our own this year (it's really just him... I made.... ummm... ZERO dollars last year! Awesome!). I just planned on using turbo tax. He has two states this year, but I'm hoping I can figure it out pretty easily. My big question is whether he can claim me as a dependent. Turbo tax was making me think he could, but the whole thing seemed weird to me (I have no idea how I pulled off a decent grade in Fed Tax... I'm really not very good at this stuff!). I guess I should sit down and look at it again this week.
