In the gloaming ....

Here we are, 19 days from when the movers arrive, and we are about the most broke (brokest?) we've EVER been. Yes, we have the light at the end, YES, I should shut up and be grateful, but THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING! We've not been able to sell our house yet, so we had to borrow $15K from the IL's to put down on our new house or we'd lose it (thank God they had it to loan - and were willing to. My dad would have it, but would never share ... but that's another thread). A family friend's kid painted our garage for us, and we have to send him a check when we've started to get paid in KC. I think it works better that way (he can't blow it on beer until he gets back to school), but it's still embarrassing.

I know it will be better in a month - I just needed to whine.

I know that you aren't the only one who has felt that way, if that is any consolation. Hang in there. I'm glad your ILs we able and willing to come through for you.

I hear you sister! We have 11 days left until we are in the house, but I think it will be about August when we see our first paycheck. Luckily the way the pay works at dh's residency- we will get one last paycheck mid-July-- it will be half's month pay, plus we still have Matt's bonus. I just hope we are scraping the barrel come August.
