      We got hit with AMT this year. It was only an additional $2K and our withholding was more than enough to cover this additional amount, but it's still a PITA.

        We've been hit to varying degrees for the past several years, and we give quite a bit to charity. It is what it is. Luckily, our withholding has been pretty much spot on (and we have to pay quarterly) so there have been no surprises.
