  • Reimbursement Accounts

We've got the dependent care and the medical reimbursement accounts set up. For dependent care, it's pretty easy to figure out the amount to set aside. But for medical, it's always a bit of a gamble. So we've got about $50 left to spend in the next 2 weeks. Any ideas? I guess I can stock up on allergy meds, where the copays are pretty steep.

I know someone who stocked up on band-aids and cough syurp. Band-aids are always a good choice w/boys around!

Ask your dentist to put it towards your future bills!!!! I did that last year.

Does it cover contact solution? That's always expensive and I usually stock up on that if I still have $ left from my health care account.

I hadn't realized all these things were eligible...I never saved receipts from the kids' tylenol, benadryl, etc.
Our diaper rash cream of choice is really expensive (triple paste). I'll go get an extra large container next week.

Yup, contact solution, band aids, tylenol are all eligible. I usually stock up on those at the end of the year.

Off the top of my head:

birth control, pregnancy tests, or ovulations kits
              tylenol
              many over the counter medicines
              orthotics
              flouride treatments

I love, love, lover our FSA accounts. We have saved a ton of money and bumped ourselves into lower tax brackets.
