I've been meaning to try mineral makeup like Bare Escentuals. But right now I use mostly MAC makeup if I'm going somewhere special but for every day I use drugstore brands.
My morning face routine is Dove face wash, Biore toner (which I love) and Neutrogena Healthy Skin Lotion w/ SPF. Then goes on Revlon Foundation, blush, maybe some mascara and lip gloss.
I've been wanting to get something to prevent wrinkles but I'm not sure what works best. Any recommendations?
My hair causes me heartache - it's frizzy, thick and dry. To make it look presentable I have to use like 5 products! I alternate between salon brands and drugstore brands - whatever works to tame my 'fro!
I cut it every few months - since I've moved here I've been trying different places because I haven't found a stylist I love yet so the cut ranges from $20 - 60 (I don't think I could pay more for that).
Clothes - I only buy on sale, I dont' really go for the really trendy stuff but nice handbags are my achilles! However, I'm not the type of person that rotates tons of bags so I'll keep what I have for awhile even though it is ~$600.

Yeah I usually keep my hair back too - it's just too much work to get it nice and straight every day.
I bet I will find a good stylist here right before we leave next year! Then it'll be back to square one finding a good one wherever we are living next!

I think finding a stylist is traumatic. I love the person I have now, but it took over a year and a couple bad ones to find him. I used to do the pony tail 24/7. It was my prerequisite for haircuts. Recently, I got bold and got my hair cut with those long bangs and more layered. It looks good, but I am definitely more high maintenance now.

Oh...Vishenka would get brain burn trying to help me!
Kris, I'd love to! Too bad you live half way across the country.

As for the size/weight issue, I'm currently a 6-8, which is the biggest I've ever been. Before any of you start "hating" me, I'm only 5'2", so on my frame, this size results in major love handles. I finally got the C cup that I always wanted but now the rolls underneath are threatening to overshadow it. The problem is that I love food and hate gym. And so far nobody has been able to come up with a third way to loose weight and get in shape.

Does anyone know if Sven moonlights as a personal trainer?

Same as you - I'm 5'2 and about an 8 - it's the biggest I've ever been. I love food too much too! I used to diet and workout like crazy in college and I just got so sick of counting calories and caring so much that I just don't have it in me anymore. I just need to start moving my big behind more I guess to compensate.

Unfortunately, I'm just 5'2" too....I won't tell you my size...but...my love handles have their own love handles to hold onto :>

Do not believe Kris..she is NOT that big although she talks like she is a circus freak here.

Kris, at least you have 4.5 kids to show for it. I unfortunately only have my addiction to french fries and Haagen Daz.

Isn't it funny how we picture people in our minds? I remember before meeting Kelly that I imagined her in a blue power suit of sorts ... I imagined Luanne being a blonde and Jennifer Hussey having long black hair. (Don't ask why..I have no idea!).

Kelly is so nice....unfortunately, I have the terrible proof in the form of a picture taken at Christmas time next to her in which I'm twice her width...at least...and she's taller than me too. I believe I am approaching circus freak status....Quite frankly, it's depressing.

And here ya go..I wear an 18/20 (think 2x), I'm 5'2" and having 4.5 children just isn't a good excuse to me. I simply have no self control. It is embarassing and ~sigh~ I'm feeling quite down about it right now. Here I am having a 'life changing' event and I gianed 7 pounds in 2 weeks between ob visits. 7 POUNDS people....what...I can't even lose weight or maintain my weight or gain the normal amount during this? Have I lost my mind? apparently.

Kris - you have a reason to have gained weight w/ 4.5 kids! It's much harder after each kid to lose the weight; my mom has 5 and she's short and it's been a struggle for her to drop pounds. It's actually gotten easier now that we are all out of the house and she can focus on herself more but your kids are so young! You shouldn't be down on yourself at all!!

The 2 things I hate about being short are that I have to get most pants I buy hemmed and that I have to eat less calories to lose weight for my height. I think I should be eating like 1050 to lose weight - that is IMPOSSIBLE!!!!
