    Do I have to claim the meals that the hospital furnishes hubby when he is on call? If so, how do I assess their value?

    girlfriend - you are TOO honest! I bet you figure out the amount of tax you avoided paying when ordering things online and admit to that, too!

    I always say the only thing my IL's and my Dad have in common is tax evasion. I strive to be somewhere in the middle.

      I think that if it is considered compensation, the hospital would document it somehow on his W2.

      I think that is considered a perk. To the extent that a hospital meal is a perk....
