Thought this would be appropriate here as it may save $. Plus it seems to be where threads of this nature are anyway.

Kinerase cleanser - worth the $. I have a 1.4 oz sample that I've been using for 4 months now. It completely removes make-up and leaves my skin soft.

MD Forte Facial Lotion(glycolic acid - I use level III) - incredible stuff. My skin is VERY smooth now.

Maybelline Lash Stylist - absolutely sucks. Gives you spider leg lashes.

Philosophy cinnamon buns body wash - love it, lasts forever. They now sell a body souffle of the same scent...good for the scent, kinda sucky product.

Those are my standouts...I'm sure I'll think of more later. I am looking for a foundation that provides good coverage - I am sure I will be hit with the 'mask of pregnancy' yet again. Any recommendations?

I have started using Clinique's Perfectly Real Compact Make-up. I have a very oily T-zone, especially the forehead. So I use no moisturizer on my forhead and this foundation, I still get a little bit of shine but not near as much plus its enough coverage to cover my other problem areas.

For cheap zit remedies I use the Wal-mart brand of Medicated Acne Gel, I think its comparable to an Oxy medication. It works wonders on my breakouts but can dry the skin if you're not careful with it.

For cleanser I just use Purpose soap, simple and easy, plus it works.

When I'm feeling flush, my all time favorite shampoo is Cynthia Sylvia Stout from Lush. I special order my stuff online because the only Lush store in DC is in Georgetown. I can't afford make-up in Georgetown.

I love Avon skincare products because they fight pimples AND wrinkles in one fell swoop.

I use the Maybelline mascara in the pink tube- Great Lash? It's the only brown that is a decent color. (had to get rid of the black mascara from my punk rock days...)

I use Prescriptives make-up, just bought a new one and it's great. However, I'd have toget up to find out what it is and I'm lazy. I'll edit later!

Aveda Phomoleient (sp)?: it's their mousse, and it rocks. During year 3 of residency I gave up all "products" from the salon, etc. and I finally caved on this one TODAY. I did a mousse to mousse test while visiting my friend in Chicago (my crappy mousse one day, her Aveda the next, same brush, same dryer) and my hair came out so much more smooth.

          It's pricey - like $18/bottle ... but it's SO much better.

On the flip side, I'm kicking myself for not asking the price of their travel sizes ... I bought some "ultra sensitive body scrub" and only upon arriving home did I realize the TRAVEL SIZE was $12!!!!!!!

So I have had some scalp issues, mainly dandruff, and I had been using Head and Shoulders- HATED IT! It would wreak havoc on my hair, and the day after using it my scalp would be itchy again.

Then I found out about an Aveda product called- Scalp Benefits. LOVE IT!! In fact I bought the gigantic bottle of shampoo and conditioner. A little bit goes a long way. Well worth the money.

Aveda Sap Moss hair product for curly hair

              Certain Dry Anti-persperent (AWESOME)

Mac lip pencil in Whirl (goes with any pink/brown or even some plumb shades) I love it with a little carmex over the top for gloss. it's very natural but "put together"

Mac pressed powder -- not the studio fix -- too heavy for me

CoverGirl's latest mascara, Lash Exact has been GREAT for me. I have relatively sensitive eyes, wear contacts, and feel naked without mascara, and have not had ANY problems with this stuff!

I've also recently started using more & more sunscreen as moisturizer and my skin looks great and it's doing double-duty!!

                  Nars, The Multiple. Awesome.

Annie had recently posted about this, but I can't remember where. It gives my skin that fresh, "dewey" look.

Yay! It's like I've been spending the last ten years of makeup buying just for this post!! I have some very stand-out favorites that I looooove...

Shampoo/Conditioner Brand: Shwartzkopf - It's awesome and every day smells like you went to the salon! (Not cheap but really great stuff!)

Bronzer: Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess - One color, extra-large compact so my big fluffy powder brush fits oh-so-perfectly and it gives me the perfect glow no matter what time of year (about $30)

Mascara: Maybelline Full N' Soft in Brown Black - big fluffy brush so there is far less clumping or spiderlash - stays well! Doesn't smear (waterproof), doesn't bother my eyes, and it looks just perfect!

                    Foundation: Clinique stuff rocks.

Lipgloss: Clinique Glosswear for Lips in Kissyfit

Nail polish: OPI Breakfast in Bed - for that perfectly manicured almost-nude polish color that isn't too beige, too pink, or too white!

Still on the prowl for the perfect... eyeshadow, blush, and lip pencil.

What is the best concealer, conceal any type of horrid thing on my face concealer?

I have used Dermablend in the past, and I should probably pick up some more. I have found it to be the best for covering blemishes and scars too.

I have a dual color concealer from Clinique that I love! I had some really bad acne (thank God for Accutane!) and I still have some scars to cover up and this does the trick - along with the undereye circles. Plus, it comes in three options, each with a lighter and darker shade so you can use different shdes for each different "dilemma." It makes me look like when I really look like !
