    Private loan consolidation

    Has anyone tried to do it, and if you have, who would you recommend? I filled out a preliminary application for this process with one company, and I've yet to hear from them

    I did. Took my private loan payments down from $420/month to $213. Definitely helps us during residency.

        I consolidated both my private and fed loans through Graduate Leverage. DW used direct loans for her fed consolidation.

        My private loan has a 30 year repayment and an adjustable rate. I do get a .25% rate reduction for direct debit.
