    our plan pretty much sucks.

last night dh came home with a little bag of papers. what is that i say....he says its our new plan that we have to sign up for. great i say...i guess that little itty bitty tiny raise you get next year will *maybe* cover the costs of this new plan. schmucks.

You'd think the one thing you could count on would be health insurance, right? I'm sorry Sylvia.

I just don't get this move. I would hope that hospitals would provide stellar care to their residents. Here, we have worse coverage than we did as residents at Hopkins. I think it's a general trend, not a regional thing. Plans are just cutting back.

We got switched to a new plan starting in December. Let's see if it sucks, too.

I've noticed a change too. When I worked for the mortgage company, I only paid out of pocket about $30 a month, and at this job I pay over $45 a WEEK.

      Go figure. Grrrr!

I agree. Our plan sucks too. What's even weirder is that anyone who finds out dh is in the medical field exclaims 'wow you must have really really great medical insurance'. Uh.. no, and we're paying a heck of a lot more than when I covered us in a non-med job. I guess they expect hospitals to take care of their staff too. I remember when it only cost five dollars for a dr visit and my wisdom teeth removal was paid for in full. Sigh, sadly I agree that it's the trend, and I don't see it stopping anytime soon.
