OK, so I had heard of the guy but hadn't seen him (don't watch reality/competition shows). But you can't live in America and not have at least heard of him--some American Idol winner with a cultish club of preteen fans. Gotcha. And I had heard that his appeal to this base probably stemmed from his "nonthreatening" nature to young girls (read: gay).

I was walking through the grocery when that People Magazine cover was on the stand. I was walking by kind of fast, I guess, so I didn't read the cover at first, and we got into a discussion about how the woman's hairstyle not being particularly feminine or flattering.

Oops. I guess it was more feminine that I gave it credit for being...

I need to get out more. And watch more E-Entertainment TV before I complete embarrass myself. And not just those cheesy, pseudo-dramatic "biopics" (total secret shame that I watch those! I mean, who can pass up the opportunity to learn all about the inside, backstage scoop on "The Brady Bunch" or "Diff'rent Strokes"?).
