E! said it was cardiac arrest - which to me kind of screams "cocaine"...

        It's so sad

Very sad. I loved her in Clueless and the one where she is the nanny to Dakota Fanning (can't remember the name)...

I've also heard cardiac arrest. She also looked scarily thin in the most recent picture of her that I saw - anoxeria perhaps? There's also the possibility of underlying heart condition.

There was an interesting piece I read earlier that mentioned a Tweet by Kathy Najimy. She said: "wrked w/& knew Brittany 4 14 years (& plyed her mom once as well) sweetst most talnted angel who got hked up w/ wrng people. we love u brit," and also wrote: "so sad this is truly a waste. feeling regret we didnt' do more. i love you so much Brittany and always will,"

Wonder what she means by that? Right now they are just reporting natural causes as the reason for death, pending toxicology reports.

I'm also thinking it's probably cocaine. The movie she was in with Dakota Fanning was "Uptown Girls". So sad.

DH called coke as the reason for the cardiac arrest, but also suggested meth as a possibility due to her lean lean figure.

She recently was filming a new project down south, and left it -- at the time, people cried "diva," but her agent said it was an amicable split and that she "wished them well."
I wonder if "diva" = drugs? That's just very sad, IMO.
She was so young - ugh.

So Sad. My first thought was an automatic "cocaine." DH also said probably like everyone else's DH's cocaine or anorexia. The girl was beyond thin. Clueless was my movie back in the day!

Just like everyone else my first thought was coke when they said "heart attack" - I was surprised because the Today show was saying that she has no history of drug use... but I thought there were rumors of her drug use. And coke would be one explanation of her super thin figure. I am curious if they release the autopsy results, and what they will say.

                  So sad.

Type II diabetic, really? This surprises me since she was rail-thin. Could it be type I? I always thought type II diabetics as being overweight. I'm sure like everything else there are exceptions to the rule.

In addition to drugs, I'm wondering if her death is related to an eating disorder. To die of cardiac arrest from natural causes at 32 is just too rare.

                      So very sad!

When I saw that she had flu-like symptoms and was vomiting, I thought H1N1, given the severe pneumonia that occurs with it. A relative of mine had the "flu" a couple of years back, went to work, came home, called a friend and mentioned that she was feeling really awful. She died that night, turns out her flu was pneumonia. Just shocking

Though I wasn't a fan, it's very sad. She could of had a heart attack from being anorexic. Pretty common. Coke could also attribute to it. Maybe with her crappy lifestyle & illness she simply went septic? Don't know. Sad anyhow and too young.

here's hoping some other skinny-but-used-to-be-healthy-sized Hollywood folks will become more aware of how in danger their poor bodies are when they have no reserves left! No matter what the cause of death, she already looked so scarily thin before... So sad.

I heard this too, and LAPD is already saying it's natural causes. But that is obvious still pending the coroner's report. Creepy is a great way to describe it. When DH saw it on the news this morning, we both though either suicide or doing some type of undetectable drugs.

If her mother did find him, I feel horribly for her.
