Sometimes when I'm stressed out and my husband is away and I'm lonely I will paint. It is kind of my escape. I go into a creative place and that removes me temporarily from the daily stresses. Also, my french bulldog is the greatest too hehe.
I do crosswords and lots and lots of reading. My husband is the painter, not that he has any time to anymore. Am I the only other person who is totally enthralled by French Bulldogs? They are some of the only small dogs I would own. I want to see a picture of yours!
I paint as well. I seem to do best when SO is away or in bed early. I'm actually painting a picture for his parents for a Christmas present. I was really honored SO thought my work quality for his parents (they are really into art); so I have started working on a piece from our last visit together. I only have a few days to finish it.....so I'm not quite sure if I should rush it or take time and send it later. But I love when I feel moved to paint or draw, etc...really helps me remember me...and that I have interests outside of the revolving schedule of SO and medicine.
I like to sew and bake. Those are my creative outlets. I'm making Christmas stockings for us this year & I think I'm going to put together a tote bag for my sisters family. I find making stuff really satisfying.
