I know this is sacralidge, but oftentimes, I think SNL has jumped the shark. There were several years there when they just kept repeating the same bits and I was bored to tears.

That was one of DH's-watch-every-episode-in-a-1 week-span-on-Netflicks choices. I didn't really "get it"

I love FRIENDS (and own all the seasons) but even it went on too long.
I miss Arrested Development! I own the seasons as well.
House - I didn't know Cuddy was leaving House - it should end, agreed. As The Office should have ended when Steve Carrell peaced out (although, that Dwight as Acting Manager episode had me rolling).
I hate American Idol and always have. Blech. Sorry to the die-hards on here! *shrug*

E.R. - it was good. Oh man! But then it got all weird - and it should have ended way before it did.
Reality T.V. - America's Next Top Model. Very interesting concept originally, now on its... 16th cycle. Too much. How many top models can you have from America, anyway?

I love Private Practice because of the psychology component and the fact that they discuss interesting ethical dilemmas.
Didn't see this when I posted my "hater" comment. The ethical dilemmas are actually what had me watching the first two seasons--then it just got too ridiculous for me. And I didn't really like how they handled a good majority of the dilemmas.

Wow, just keep on doggin' my favorite shows ya'll. I like my t.v. unrealistic, entertaining, trashy, and guilty.

              Shows that have overstayed:
              Daytime soaps
              SNL
              The Office
              Two and a Half Men

              Over too soon:
              Flash Forward
              Pushing Daisies
Heidi, PA-S1 - wife to an orthopaedic surgeon, mom to Ryan, 17, and Alexia, 11.

Shows that should have been gone a long time ago:
Any of the Real Housewives shows
                Jersey Shore
                Two and a Half Men
                Grey's Anatomy (so not realistic)
                Desperate Housewives
                The Bachelor/ette
                The View
ER (used to love this show and then it just got boring? formulaic?)
Any show involving Kate Gosselin and the extortion of her children.

Shows that Ended Way Too Soon:
                Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman
Scrubs (the first time around, the reincarnation doesn't count)
The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien (so glad he's back on TBS)
Family Guy (the first time, now we can't miss an episode)
                Lie to Me

And Chuck has been moved from Monday nights to Friday nights. Guess we are investing in a DVR in the fall. This is the only show we watch together religiously.

Ok, this made me laugh out loud. As if we didn't already have enough in common, I thought I was the only person (curently) under the age of 40 who ever watched this show. I own like 5 seasons of it on DVD. Frankly, I think it went on long enough, but I do love it.

I loved this, it was what I watched every Saturday night with my aunt. There are re-runs on GMC at least 1-2 times a day. I just watched the 2nd part of their wedding the other afternoon!

Ok, if either of you are ever in the LA area, you have to go to the Paramount Ranch in the Santa Monica Mountains. It's a lovely hike, and the sets where they filmed Dr. Quinn are basically still intact. I loved it.

That's awesome. 29 here, and watched it when it was on and loved it.

Yeah, after that season finale, there aren't too many more directions for the show to go in. Not surprised though, it's been on the edge of being axed every year it's been in existence.

So funny! I never watched, but my friend did and called me SOBBING right before her wedding. She said she was watching some episode of Dr. Quinn, and it made her start crying and realizing how important her friends are and how much she loved me .... I think at that point AT&T commercials were probably making her lose it, too.
