To me most successful shows go on way way too long. I wish there had been more Firefly, & Dollhouse. I agree with pretty much all of the shows you all mentioned that should have died long ago.

I had a brief fling with Dr. Quinn reruns during one of my summers home from college. It's funny, it just came up in conversation with my husband recently because after happening across an episode of The Waltons, I said I don't think they have any family shows set in a historical era anymore . . . do they? I think of Dr. Quinn as being the last one of the genre. Too expensive to make now?Married to a hematopathologist seven years out of training.

I used to LOVE Road to Avonlea. Filmed in Canada and aired on the Disney channel in the early '90s. I wish that was still on. I think most shows have lasted too long . We enjoyed the Sarah Connor Chronicles but Fox canceled it after two seasons. I like reality shows like Survivor, Amazing Race, Top Chef, etc. If I get to watch TV I watch a lot of HGTV or the Food network.Tara

You reality show haters will laugh at me, but I loved Baby Borrowers. I wish they'd done another season or two of that. Good birth control TV...
I'm still watching The Office, and the past couple episodes are still funny, but I don't see it going much longer without Michael. At least it shouldn't.Laurie

I am agree with all those American Idol votes. I think it should have ended when Simon left. But here is my list of shows that have gone too long
-CSI all of them/ It was good at the starting but then it was just an overkill with all of them
- Survivor- It is just getting old when you see that Rob guy on for the 100th time
- The Simpsons. gosh I saw it when I was in High school and that was a long time ago.
- I know I am going out on a limb here but. I am glad the Oprah show is over. This was the first season in a long time that I actually have watched. I am glad she is ending her show.
- Lastly I would have to say all the Soap[ opera. They are just so stupid. I don't get it.
I am not a huge tv person but these are my thoughts.

The 16 and Pregnant shows make ME feel overwhelmed by motherhood. I'd hope that a teenager watching the show would feel unprepared as well.
As for Oprah, I hadn't watched her show in years since it was daytime tv. They've been re-broadcasting her show in the evenings here. Most of the shows have been self-congratulatory as it is her last season. But some of the shows she's done this season -- the reunion of Freedom Riders, the Tyler Perry episode about men who have suffered childhood sexual abuse -- have been truly worthwhile.Wife and #1 Fan of Attending Adult & Geriatric Psychiatrist.

I'm watching the first episode of Season 3 of 16 and Pregnant. The twin sister is being. so. petulant. "What about meeeeeeee?"
I think it's cool that you use the show to talk with your daughter, Diggity.Wife to Family Medicine attending, Mom to DS1 and DS2
