What the heck happened??? Last I'd seen, she'd post an innocent missive about the realities of her personal finances--something most of us can relate to. How could that have gone south? And, I wasn't even INVOLVED! I am almost always the inadvertent instigator of south-headed threads around here...

Anyhow, I am sure it wasn't as offensive as you feared.

I didn't think it was offensive. We all have different opinions, and I think discussing them can be interesting. I certainly wish you hadn't deleted the thread. Maybe I have a higher tolerance for debates, but I thought the discussion was barely getting heated, let alone going south. Then again, I'm sure it feels entirely different when it's your thread. I'm really sorry if I offended anyone.

I missed the fun too, but just wanted to say this is sometimes the danger of online communication - you have no body language or eye contact to respond to so things are more easily interpreted to mean what you didn't intend for them to mean. So I guess what I'm saying is don't feel too bad, it could happen (and I'm sure has happened) to anyone and everyone
