        It's kind of weird but also not really. What did parents do before food processors etc? I bit food into smaller pieces for the kids all the time when they were too young to bite it themselves.

            My dad likes to tell me how he used to bite peanuts into smaller pieces for my brother and me. He'd feed us the chewed up bits with his fingers and we apparently thought it was awesome.

            Dh and dd do a Lady and the Tramp thing with noodles.

                  My local crunky mom friend did this a little bit with her DD. The kid didn't have much in the way of teeth. lol Mine on the other hand had 10 teeth by the age of 10 months old.
