And just think... no strange ads for Viagra or Depends creeping in to your viewing! 
I usually watch on Hulu Plus or Amazon Prime so I get around most of the advertising but I do wish the production here was supported in some other way. Seeing what the free market generates always scares me. There it is people! What we truly want! *shiver* It's humbling.
Maybe things like House of Cards being made directly by Netflix and sold directly to viewers will bring on better programs.
I still remember when cable first came out (I was a kid) and they claimed it would be advertising free because you were paying directly. Hahahahaha See how that worked out..... I remember begging our dad for years to get it. We wanted our MTV.
