We just started watching this too. So deliciously evil. I'm also watching Scandal on Netflix, though I like it less. I am a total sucker for political dramas (even though none of them ever live up to The West Wing).

Hart of Dixie, Drop Dead Diva, Switched at Birth, Parenthood, and when I really want to take a step back in time, Dawson's Creek. I loved that show in high school and it requires zero thinking for quality zone out time.

Man, I love Scandal. I watched two seasons straight when I was nine months pregnant.

House of Cards is the best show ever. I cannot wait for the next season to be released.

Also a big fan of scandal and house of cards!

I think I may start in Lost. I've heard so damn much about it over the years I figure I better get on with it!

LSW - big fans of the league here too. My fantasy football team last year was "swim, swim, stab". Before that it may have been chalupa batman but I can't remember. Rafi is my favorite

I went through all of the Dawson's Creek episodes while hubby was in 3rd and 4th year and never home. Also Felicity and Roswell, but I'm not sure those are available anymore.

Been watching Bones when DH isn't around (he always wants a break from remotely medical things) and we've been trying out White Collar in the evenings. So far we're enjoying it.

Top Gear has become a guilty pleasure show of both of ours for when we're only half paying attention. Neither of us are big car people, but those guys are freakin' hilarious!

Thanks! We'll probably watch that next. I need to lay off for a while though. It's too easy to binge-watch. Since I work from home surrounded by devices with Netflix/Amazon apps, it's really hard to stay disciplined when addicted to these shows. Plus there are tons of interesting interviews with the cast and crew on YouTube. It's a major time suck.

Ha! I work from home too and seem to always have something streaming. I should probably try silence.

DS has discovered "Bob the Builder" on Netflix... :/

I do too! It's counterintuitive, but sometimes I think that having ONE distraction (tv on in the background) blocks out all the other distractions. It also sets a timeframe, and I tend to work on a single project for 45 minutes or an hour instead of getting distracted more frequently. It's crazy, but I think I do better work during "TV season" when there are lots of shows to watch on Hulu, than I do during the summer.

My husband works this way too, but I either have to have complete silence or two noises canceling each other out. (If he's studying/watching something, I put soft music on and then I can focus.)

That said, TV is awesome for helping me get other things done! I'll put on a 22 min sitcom and tell myself I have to get the entire kitchen clean in that time. It's just what I need to keep me from checking twitter/Facebook/IMSN when I ought to be doing housework.

Even in college I had to study in the 24 hour cafe booths instead of the library. I need background noise to concentrate. I like the theory of it drowning out other distractions.
